- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups diced apples
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2–3 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
- In a separate bowl, mix milk, applesauce, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Combine wet ingredients with the dry mixture until just combined.
- Fold in diced apples and melted butter.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon mixture on top, then add the remaining batter.
- Bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool, then mix powdered sugar with milk to create a glaze and drizzle over the cooled bread.
