Description

Delightful Apple Brownies blend the sweetness of brown sugar with tart apples for a chewy, satisfying treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 2 cups diced tart apples (such as Granny Smith)
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the melted butter and brown sugar until combined. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in the diced apples and chopped pecans.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
