Instructions
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and sugar until fully blended.
- Beat the eggs, then add the buttermilk and melted butter. Mix until smooth.
- Fold the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the diced apples until evenly distributed.
- Heat and grease your waffle maker.
- Add batter, close, and cook for 4–5 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
- Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth and glossy for the glaze.
- Dip warm donuts into the glaze and let them set on a cooling rack.
