- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets, washed and trimmed
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch, mixed with 2 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients, slicing the beef thinly and cutting the broccoli into bite-sized florets.
- In a bowl, marinate the beef with half of the soy sauce and cornstarch mixture for about 10 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated beef in a single layer, cooking for 2-3 minutes without stirring, then turn and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté minced garlic and grated ginger in the same skillet until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Add broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet, pour in the prepared sauce, and stir well. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Finish by drizzling sesame oil over the stir-fry and incorporating.
