Description

This show-stopping appetizer features gooey brie cheese enveloped in flaky puff pastry, topped with raspberry jam and blood orange juice, perfect for gatherings or cozy nights in.


Ingredients

  • 1 wheel of brie cheese
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
  • 1/2 cup raspberry jam
  • 1/4 cup blood orange juice (or your favorite red juice)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry and cut it to wrap around the brie.
  3. Place the brie cheese in the center of the puff pastry and spread the raspberry jam generously over the top.
  4. Drizzle the blood orange juice over the jam.
  5. Fold the pastry over the brie, sealing completely.
  6. Beat the egg and brush it over the pastry.
  7. Place the wrapped brie on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and flaky.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
