- Prepare the Brown Butter: Melt the unsalted butter over medium heat until golden brown and nutty. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: Whisk in the granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg yolk, vanilla extract, and pumpkin puree until smooth.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves.
- Combine Mixtures: Carefully fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
