Description
A delicious and healthy breakfast that combines chocolate flavors with nutritious oats and chia seeds.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup oats (quick or rolled)
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2–4 medjool dates (adjust for sweetness)
- 3/4 cup almond milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Melted dark chocolate (for topping)
- Berries (fresh or frozen, for topping)
- Coconut flakes (for topping)
Instructions
- Blend the Ingredients: In a high-powered blender, combine the oats, chia seeds, cocoa powder, medjool dates, almond milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth. For a chunkier texture, pulse a few times instead of fully blending.
- Transfer and Refrigerate: Pour the mixture into a jar or a container with a lid. Seal it tightly and place it in the fridge overnight, or for at least 4 hours.
- Add Toppings: When you’re ready to eat, stir the mixture well and top it with melted dark chocolate, fresh berries, and coconut flakes for added flavor and texture.
Notes
Adjust the number of medjool dates based on sweetness preference. Try adding nut butter for a creamier texture.
