Description
Succulent lobster tails glazed in herb-scented butter, finished with a golden edge, delivering restaurant-quality results in minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lobster tails (8–10 oz each), thawed if frozen, shells split lengthwise
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 garlic clove, finely minced
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley
- Pinch of smoked paprika or sweet paprika
- Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Pat the lobster tails dry, then use kitchen shears to cut the shell lengthwise down the center; gently lift the meat out of the shell and rest it atop the shell (butterfly).
- Season the exposed meat with a light sprinkle of salt and pepper.
- Melt the butter in a small skillet over medium heat until it foams and the milk solids turn pale golden; remove from heat.
- Stir in minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, and chopped parsley. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Brush the lobster meat with half the butter mixture.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
- Place lobster tails meat-side up in a single layer and cook for 6–8 minutes, checking at 6 minutes.
- Brush with the reserved butter, sprinkle with smoked paprika, and let rest for 1–2 minutes before serving.
Notes
For best results, keep butter at room temperature. Serve with lemon wedges and pair with air-fryer bread for a complete dish.
