Description

A delightful blend of creamy cheesecake, rich caramel, and tart apples atop a buttery graham cracker crust, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups apples, peeled, cored, and diced (preferably Granny Smith)
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Mix until well combined and press into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add granulated sugar and beat until incorporated. Add eggs one at a time, mixing gently after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  3. Toss diced apples with brown sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  4. Pour cream cheese filling over the crust. Top with the cinnamon-sugar apple mixture.
  5. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Bake for 40-45 minutes until edges are set and center has a slight jiggle.
  6. Cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.

Notes

Use fresh apples that retain their shape when baked, like Granny Smith. Allow bars to chill thoroughly for best flavors.
