Description
Indulge in the luxurious flavor of caramel pecan clusters, a refined sweet treat that marries the rich nuttiness of pecans with a velvety caramel coating.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups pecan halves, toasted
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup heavy cream, warmed
- Flaky sea salt (for topping)
Instructions
- Toast the pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat for 5–7 minutes until golden and fragrant.
- Add the granulated sugar to a medium saucepan over medium heat and let it melt undisturbed until it becomes a deep amber color.
- Whisk in the room-temperature butter carefully; the caramel will bubble vigorously.
- Remove from heat and slowly drizzle in the warmed heavy cream, stirring continuously until smooth and glossy.
- Add the toasted pecans to the caramel and stir until evenly coated.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and allow to cool and set for at least 30 minutes.
Notes
For added sophistication, drizzle melted dark chocolate over the cooled clusters. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
