Description

Delicious soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies with a perfect balance of sweetness.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the softened butter with both the granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then beat in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually stir the dry mixture into the wet mixture using a spatula.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Use a tablespoon to scoop balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown but centers are still soft.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

For extra chocolatey cookies, mix in chocolate chunks alongside chocolate chips. Ensure butter is softened but not melted for the best texture.
