Description
A quick and flavorful dinner combining juicy chicken breasts with tender broccoli in a creamy garlic sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil. Allow it to warm.
- Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper. Place them in the skillet and cook until nicely browned and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Once cooked, take the chicken out and set it on a plate.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
- Throw in the broccoli florets and cook them for around 3-4 minutes, until they are tender but still vibrant.
- Pour the heavy cream into the skillet and mix in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce turns creamy and well combined.
- Carefully add the chicken back into the skillet, coating it in the creamy sauce and letting it heat through for an extra 2 minutes.
- Serve the dish hot, garnished with extra Parmesan or fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or substitute broccoli with spinach or asparagus. Can use turkey or tofu instead of chicken.
