Creamy Garlic Chicken and Broccoli Skillet

Description

A quick and flavorful dinner combining juicy chicken breasts with tender broccoli in a creamy garlic sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil. Allow it to warm.
  2. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper. Place them in the skillet and cook until nicely browned and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Once cooked, take the chicken out and set it on a plate.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
  4. Throw in the broccoli florets and cook them for around 3-4 minutes, until they are tender but still vibrant.
  5. Pour the heavy cream into the skillet and mix in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce turns creamy and well combined.
  6. Carefully add the chicken back into the skillet, coating it in the creamy sauce and letting it heat through for an extra 2 minutes.
  7. Serve the dish hot, garnished with extra Parmesan or fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or substitute broccoli with spinach or asparagus. Can use turkey or tofu instead of chicken.
