- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Melt butter in a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat without letting it brown.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat and slowly stir in parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and use immediately.
Notes
For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes when sautéing the garlic. Use freshly grated parmesan for best results.
