Description

A satisfying sandwich featuring crispy chicken, fresh greens, and creamy Caesar dressing.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk (for soaking)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 slices of your favorite bread (ciabatta or brioche)
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup Caesar dressing
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Soak the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Remove chicken from buttermilk and allow excess liquid to drip off. Dredge in the flour mixture, then dip into the panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Carefully place the breaded chicken in the hot oil and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Toast the bread if desired. Spread Caesar dressing on each slice and layer with lettuce, crispy chicken, and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Close the sandwich, cut in half if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crispiness, consider double-dredging the chicken. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
