Description
A satisfying sandwich featuring crispy chicken, fresh greens, and creamy Caesar dressing.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup buttermilk (for soaking)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 slices of your favorite bread (ciabatta or brioche)
- 1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup Caesar dressing
- Olive oil for frying
Instructions
- Soak the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.
- Remove chicken from buttermilk and allow excess liquid to drip off. Dredge in the flour mixture, then dip into the panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
- Carefully place the breaded chicken in the hot oil and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Toast the bread if desired. Spread Caesar dressing on each slice and layer with lettuce, crispy chicken, and Parmesan cheese.
- Close the sandwich, cut in half if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra crispiness, consider double-dredging the chicken. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
