- 2 pounds beef chuck roast
- 1 packet au jus mix
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 6 toasted rolls
- 6 slices of provolone cheese
Instructions
- Place the beef chuck roast into the slow cooker.
- Sprinkle the au jus mix evenly over the roast.
- Add the sliced onion and minced garlic around the meat.
- Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
- Sprinkle with dried rosemary, dried thyme, salt, and pepper, stirring slightly to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for about 480 minutes (8 hours).
- Shred the beef with two forks.
- Mix the shredded beef back into the slow cooker with the juices.
- Serve on toasted rolls with slices of provolone cheese melted on top.
- Offer warm au jus on the side for dipping.
