- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup, preferably low sodium
- 1 cup sour cream, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup crispy fried onions, store-bought or homemade
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, finely chopped, plus extra for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the trimmed green beans, diced onion, and sliced mushrooms.
- In another bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt until creamy and smooth.
- In the slow cooker, add the vegetable mixture followed by the sauce. Gently fold to combine.
- Cover the slow cooker and set it on low for 4 to 5 hours, until the green beans are tender.
- Once cooked, stir in the crispy fried onions and sprinkle with thyme. Allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
