Description
A quick and tasty snack that combines toasted bread, tomato sauce, cottage cheese, and melted cheese for a pizza-style treat.
Ingredients
- Bread slices (white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
- Tomato sauce (a few tablespoons per slice)
- Cottage cheese (2–3 tablespoons per slice)
- Shredded cheese (mozzarella or favorite melting cheese, a light handful per slice)
- Italian seasoning (a pinch per slice)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Lay bread slices on a clean surface. Optionally, toast them for 1 minute in the air fryer.
- Spread 1–2 tablespoons of tomato sauce over each slice.
- Add 2–3 tablespoons of cottage cheese on top of the sauce.
- Sprinkle a light handful of shredded cheese over the cottage cheese.
- Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Place the slices in the air fryer basket and cook for 5–7 minutes until melted and bubbly.
- Carefully remove the toast, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
Notes
Use thick bread for a heartier toast. Low-fat cottage cheese works fine, and fresh-grated mozzarella melts best.
