Description

A quick and tasty snack that combines toasted bread, tomato sauce, cottage cheese, and melted cheese for a pizza-style treat.


Ingredients

  • Bread slices (white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
  • Tomato sauce (a few tablespoons per slice)
  • Cottage cheese (2–3 tablespoons per slice)
  • Shredded cheese (mozzarella or favorite melting cheese, a light handful per slice)
  • Italian seasoning (a pinch per slice)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lay bread slices on a clean surface. Optionally, toast them for 1 minute in the air fryer.
  3. Spread 1–2 tablespoons of tomato sauce over each slice.
  4. Add 2–3 tablespoons of cottage cheese on top of the sauce.
  5. Sprinkle a light handful of shredded cheese over the cottage cheese.
  6. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  7. Place the slices in the air fryer basket and cook for 5–7 minutes until melted and bubbly.
  8. Carefully remove the toast, let cool slightly, and serve warm.

Notes

Use thick bread for a heartier toast. Low-fat cottage cheese works fine, and fresh-grated mozzarella melts best.
