Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup water (room temperature)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley (chopped, optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Gradually pour in the water while mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough lightly on a floured surface for about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and roll into thin circles or ovals, about ¼ inch thick.
  6. Mix the softened butter and minced garlic in a small bowl.
  7. Place the rolled flatbreads on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush with garlic butter.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
