- 1 cup cottage cheese, small curd
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup spinach, thawed and drained, finely chopped
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (or more as needed)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
- 1 tablespoon everything bagel seasoning (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine cottage cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Mix until smooth.
- Fold in the chopped spinach until well distributed.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
- Lightly dust your surface with flour. Divide the dough into 4-6 equal pieces, shaping each into a bagel-like ring.
- Place the shaped flagels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle with sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning if desired.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
To keep your flagels fresh, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze them for later.
