Description

Delightful snack of creamy goat cheese and sweet figs wrapped in soft tortillas, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large tortillas (flour or whole wheat)
  • 8 oz goat cheese, softened
  • 1 cup dried figs, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves (or a pinch of dried thyme)
  • Fresh arugula or mixed greens (for serving, optional)
  • Balsamic glaze (for drizzling, optional)

Instructions

  1. Chop the dried figs into small pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened goat cheese, chopped figs, honey, and thyme. Stir until well mixed and creamy.
  3. Lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread a generous layer of the fig and goat cheese filling across the tortilla, leaving a small edge around the sides.
  4. Tightly roll the tortilla away from you, keeping the filling inside.
  5. Using a sharp knife, cut the rolled tortilla into bite-sized pinwheels, about 1-2 inches per slice.
  6. Serve immediately or refrigerate before serving to let flavors meld.

Notes

Use fresh figs for best flavor, and experiment with different cheeses for variation.
