Description
Delightful snack of creamy goat cheese and sweet figs wrapped in soft tortillas, perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large tortillas (flour or whole wheat)
- 8 oz goat cheese, softened
- 1 cup dried figs, chopped
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves (or a pinch of dried thyme)
- Fresh arugula or mixed greens (for serving, optional)
- Balsamic glaze (for drizzling, optional)
Instructions
- Chop the dried figs into small pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened goat cheese, chopped figs, honey, and thyme. Stir until well mixed and creamy.
- Lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread a generous layer of the fig and goat cheese filling across the tortilla, leaving a small edge around the sides.
- Tightly roll the tortilla away from you, keeping the filling inside.
- Using a sharp knife, cut the rolled tortilla into bite-sized pinwheels, about 1-2 inches per slice.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate before serving to let flavors meld.
Notes
Use fresh figs for best flavor, and experiment with different cheeses for variation.
