Description

A comforting and hearty casserole combining the rich flavors of French onion soup, ground beef, and creamy rice.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed French onion soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, stirring occasionally. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Sprinkle in the onion powder and garlic powder. Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the cooked beef, cooked rice, condensed French onion soup, and sour cream. Mix until well combined.
  4. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  5. Spread the beef and rice mixture evenly in the greased baking dish. Top with an even layer of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Before serving, sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired. Enjoy hot!

Notes
