- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Rinse and prepare shrimp by rinsing them under cold water and patting dry with a paper towel.
- In a medium bowl, combine shrimp, minced garlic, lime juice, olive oil, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let marinate for 15-30 minutes.
- Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a little olive oil if needed.
- Add marinated shrimp to the skillet in a single layer and cook for about 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fully cooked.
- Remove from heat and squeeze additional lime juice over the shrimp before serving.
Notes
Serve over rice or alongside salad; garnish with lime wedges and cilantro. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
