Description

A quick and zesty seafood dish combining succulent shrimp with bold flavors of garlic and lime, perfect for busy weeknights or casual dinner parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse and prepare shrimp by rinsing them under cold water and patting dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine shrimp, minced garlic, lime juice, olive oil, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let marinate for 15-30 minutes.
  3. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a little olive oil if needed.
  4. Add marinated shrimp to the skillet in a single layer and cook for about 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fully cooked.
  5. Remove from heat and squeeze additional lime juice over the shrimp before serving.

Notes

Serve over rice or alongside salad; garnish with lime wedges and cilantro. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
