- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup warm water
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (like oregano or basil)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- A pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the gluten-free flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir well.
- Add the olive oil and warm water to the dry ingredients. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangular shape, about ½ inch thick.
- In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, and dried herbs. Spread this mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the garlic butter and add red pepper flakes if desired.
- Place the prepared dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the edges are golden.
- Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and slice into squares or strips to enjoy.
