Description
A flavorful blend of honey garlic chicken served with creamy mac and cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (pounded to even thickness)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for sautéing)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1/4 cup honey (preferably local)
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (for depth)
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme (finely chopped)
- 8 ounces elbow macaroni (cooked al dente)
- 2 cups cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 1 cup milk (warm)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for garnish)
- 2 tablespoons butter (for creaminess)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, then add the chicken. Sauté for 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- In a separate bowl, blend the butter, honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and chopped thyme. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
- Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the skillet and deglaze the pan with a splash of water or broth. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well coated. Allow it to simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine the cooked macaroni, cheddar cheese, warm milk, and butter. Stir continuously until the cheese melts, creating a silky sauce.
- Serve the chicken drizzled with extra sauce alongside a generous portion of mac and cheese. Garnish with grated Parmesan for added elegance.
Notes
For deeper flavor, marinate the chicken in the honey garlic sauce for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
