Description

Delicate pan-fried dumplings filled with tender ground chicken and aromatic herbs, served with a savory dipping sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken (preferably free-range)
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (low sodium)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 24 round dumpling wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (for dipping sauce)
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon chili oil (adjust for spice preference)
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • Fresh cilantro leaves (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground chicken, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Let marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Place a dumpling wrapper in your palm, add a teaspoon of filling, moisten edges with water, fold, and seal tightly.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add potstickers and sauté for 2-3 minutes until golden brown on the bottom.
  4. Pour in ¼ cup of water, cover, and steam for 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Serve potstickers on a platter, drizzled with dipping sauce, and garnish with cilantro and sesame seeds.

Notes

Chill the filling before assembly for better shape retention. Don’t overcrowd the skillet for even cooking.
