Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3 large eggs, beaten (room temperature)
  • ½ cup honey (preferably local)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives (finely chopped)
  • Sea salt and black pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the corn, heavy cream, whole milk, and beaten eggs. Stir until well blended.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the honey, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Pour this mixture into the corn base and mix thoroughly.
  4. Add sea salt and black pepper to taste. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and smooth the top.
  5. In a small bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs and chopped chives. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the corn base.
