Description

A sophisticated dish combining juicy chicken with creamy feta sauce and a spicy honey drizzle, perfect for both weeknight dinners and special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (pound to even thickness)
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (extra virgin for richer flavor)
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese (preferably at room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (plain, for creaminess)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed for brightness)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (or 2 cloves fresh, minced)
  • 1/4 cup hot honey (or regular honey with a pinch of cayenne)
  • Fresh herbs, such as parsley or dill (finely chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and black pepper. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Once the oil is shimmering, add the chicken breasts. Sear them for about 6-7 minutes per side, until they develop a golden-brown crust and are fully cooked.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the crumbled feta, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and garlic powder until smooth and creamy.
  4. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and generously spoon the feta sauce over them. Allow the mixture to warm through for a couple of minutes on low heat.
  5. Remove from heat and drizzle the hot honey over the chicken. Let it rest for a moment to absorb the flavors.
  6. Sprinkle with freshly chopped herbs before serving.

Notes

Pound the chicken for even cooking. You can substitute feta with herbed goat cheese for a creamier variant.
