- 1 cup heavy cream (room temperature)
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme (or 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, finely chopped)

- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or more, for extra richness)
- Fresh parsley (for garnish, finely chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a casserole dish with a touch of olive oil.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat, then add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until golden brown for about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant. Be careful not to let garlic burn.

- In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, remaining chicken broth, thyme, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well blended.
- Layer the sautéed mushrooms over the seared chicken in the casserole dish, then pour the creamy mixture over the top.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Allow the casserole to rest for 10 minutes before garnishing with fresh parsley and serving.
Notes
