- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 large bell peppers (green, red, or mixed), diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 8 oz provolone cheese, sliced
- 1.5 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick spray.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Sauté the onions and bell peppers for about 5-6 minutes until softened.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds, stirring continuously.
- Incorporate the ground beef, seasoning with salt and pepper, and cook for 7-8 minutes until browned.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and blend in the softened cream cheese until melted and creamy.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Layer torn pieces of provolone over the beef and top with shredded mozzarella.
- Bake for 22-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding sliced jalapeños or substitute with your favorite cheese varieties.
