Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, ground cloves, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 3–5 minutes).
- Stir in egg, orange zest, and fresh orange juice until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space in between.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are slightly golden.
- Let cookies cool on a wire rack. Meanwhile, whisk together powdered sugar and orange juice for glaze and drizzle over cooled cookies.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. For longer storage, freeze in a freezer-safe bag for up to three months.
