Description

A delightful twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich, featuring delicious basil pesto and gooey melted cheese.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices of your favorite bread
  • 2 slices of cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or any cheese you love)
  • 2 tablespoons of basil pesto (store-bought or homemade)
  • Butter or olive oil (for grilling the sandwich)

Instructions

  1. Spread pesto evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place one slice of bread in the skillet, pesto-side up.
  3. Layer cheese slices on top of the bread.
  4. Top with the second slice of bread, pesto-side facing down.
  5. Spread butter or drizzle olive oil on the outer sides of the bread.
  6. Grill the sandwich for 3-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
