- 2 slices of your favorite bread
- 2 slices of cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or any cheese you love)
- 2 tablespoons of basil pesto (store-bought or homemade)
- Butter or olive oil (for grilling the sandwich)
Instructions
- Spread pesto evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place one slice of bread in the skillet, pesto-side up.
- Layer cheese slices on top of the bread.
- Top with the second slice of bread, pesto-side facing down.
- Spread butter or drizzle olive oil on the outer sides of the bread.
- Grill the sandwich for 3-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
Notes
Serve with tomato soup or a fresh salad. Experiment with different types of cheese and bread for added flavor.
