Description
This Pistachio Mousse with Chocolate Ganache is a luscious, no-bake dessert that combines nutty pistachios with a rich, silky chocolate topping. Light, creamy, and layered to impress.
Ingredients
For the pistachio mousse:
1 cup shelled pistachios
2 cups heavy cream
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons gelatin
For the chocolate ganache:
1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
1/2 cup milk
For garnish:
1/2 cup crushed pistachios
Instructions
1. In a food processor, blend the shelled pistachios until finely ground.
2. In a saucepan, heat 1 cup of cream with sugar and vanilla until sugar dissolves.
3. Bloom the gelatin by mixing it with water and letting it sit until thickened.
4. Add bloomed gelatin to the warm cream and stir to dissolve.
5. Fold in ground pistachios into the cream mixture and let cool to room temperature.
6. Whip the remaining cream until soft peaks form and gently fold into cooled pistachio mix.
7. Spoon mousse into cups and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
8. Heat milk and pour over chopped chocolate. Let sit, then stir to create ganache.
9. Pour ganache over chilled mousse and refrigerate again until set.
10. Garnish with crushed pistachios before serving.
Notes
Use unsalted pistachios for a purer flavor unless you enjoy sweet-salty contrast.
To make it vegan, use coconut cream and plant-based gelatin plus dairy-free chocolate.
Serve in clear glasses to show off the beautiful layers.
