Description

A comforting soup featuring pork or chicken dumplings in a flavorful broth, perfect for chilly evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (12 oz) of pork or chicken dumplings
  • 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cups fresh spinach or bok choy
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients before starting for a smoother cooking experience.
  2. In a large pot over medium heat, add a splash of oil. Sauté the minced garlic and grated ginger until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and raise the heat to bring it to a gentle boil.
  4. Add the dumplings to the boiling broth, cooking until they become tender, about 4-6 minutes.
  5. Stir in the fresh spinach or bok choy along with the soy sauce. Cook until the greens are wilted, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Drizzle the sesame oil over the soup just before serving.
  7. Ladle the soup into bowls and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

For extra spice, add chili oil or red pepper flakes. For a vegetarian option, use vegetable dumplings and broth. Adding tofu can enhance protein and texture.
