Description

Quick and delightful salted caramel bites made with oyster crackers and a rich homemade caramel sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 (9 oz) package oyster crackers
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Spread oyster crackers in an even layer on the baking sheet.
  4. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and brown sugar together while stirring constantly until it reaches a gentle boil.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
  6. Pour the warm caramel sauce over the crackers and gently toss to coat.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  8. Allow to cool completely on the baking sheet before breaking into bite-sized pieces.
