Ingredients

  • 1 package (12–14 oz) smoked sausage, cut into ½-inch rounds
  • 1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 6 oz white cheddar cheese, cut into small cubes (about ¼½ inch pieces)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, leaves stripped (optional)
  • Skewers or toothpicks for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the smoked sausage into even ½-inch rounds and toss with olive oil.
  3. Arrange the sausage on a sheet pan, leaving small gaps.
  4. Spoon about ½ teaspoon of cranberry sauce onto each sausage slice.
  5. Top each with a small cube of white cheddar.
  6. Sprinkle thyme over the bites if desired.
