Ingredients

- 4 chicken thighs (or breasts)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons ground paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Pita bread or wraps
- Toppings (e.g., lettuce, tomato, cucumber, tahini sauce)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the minced garlic, cumin, paprika, coriander, turmeric, cinnamon, salt, pepper, olive oil, and lemon juice.
- Lay the chicken in your slow cooker and spoon the marinade all over the pieces.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4-6 hours.
- Shred the chicken using two forks and mix it back into the sauce in the slow cooker.
- Serve the shredded chicken in warm pita bread or wraps with fresh toppings.
Notes
For a spicy kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the marinade. Let the marinated chicken sit in the fridge for a couple of hours for enhanced flavor.
