Description
A delightful marriage of soy sauce and honey creates a sublime glaze for tender chicken thighs.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger until well combined.
- Place the chicken thighs in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken thighs, reserving the marinade. Sear for about 5 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
- Add the reserved marinade to the skillet and bring it to a simmer. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing it to thicken and glaze the chicken.
- Once the sauce coats the chicken beautifully, remove from heat and sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top for garnish.
Notes
For added depth of flavor, consider overnight marinating. Use high-quality soy sauce and feel free to modify the sweetness to your preference.
