Description

Spiced Hot Cocoa is a rich, soul-warming drink made with cocoa, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Perfect for cold nights, it’s ready in minutes with simple pantry staples.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups of milk (or non-dairy alternative)

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

2 tablespoons honey (or preferred sweetener)

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions

1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm the milk until hot but not boiling.

2. Whisk in the cocoa powder, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, vanilla extract, and salt.

3. Continue to heat and stir until everything is fully combined and smooth.

4. Pour into your favorite mug.

5. Top with whipped cream if desired.

6. Sprinkle extra cinnamon or cocoa powder on top for garnish.

7. Serve warm and enjoy immediately.

Notes

Adjust sweetness to your taste by adding more or less honey.

Use almond, oat, or coconut milk for a dairy-free version.

Add a pinch of cayenne for a spicy twist.
