Description

Elevate your culinary repertoire with these Sticky Beef Noodles, a dish that elegantly marries comfort and sophistication. Perfectly balanced flavors are complemented by a rich, glossy sauce that clings to tender noodles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 400g wide rice noodles
  • 300g beef flank or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice noodles according to package instructions. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
  2. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Allow it to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add a splash of oil and sauté minced garlic and ginger until fragrant and lightly golden.
  4. Add the marinated beef in a single layer, cooking until browned and caramelized, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Reduce the heat, return the cooked noodles to the skillet, and drizzle honey over the mixture. Toss gently and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped green onions, sesame seeds, and cilantro.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute beef with mushrooms or tofu. Consider adding bell peppers or snap peas for added crunch.
