Description
Elevate your culinary repertoire with these Sticky Beef Noodles, a dish that elegantly marries comfort and sophistication. Perfectly balanced flavors are complemented by a rich, glossy sauce that clings to tender noodles.
Ingredients
Scale
- 400g wide rice noodles
- 300g beef flank or sirloin, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the rice noodles according to package instructions. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
- In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Allow it to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add a splash of oil and sauté minced garlic and ginger until fragrant and lightly golden.
- Add the marinated beef in a single layer, cooking until browned and caramelized, about 3-4 minutes.
- Reduce the heat, return the cooked noodles to the skillet, and drizzle honey over the mixture. Toss gently and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped green onions, sesame seeds, and cilantro.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, substitute beef with mushrooms or tofu. Consider adding bell peppers or snap peas for added crunch.
