Description

Deliciously thick cookies with crispy edges and gooey chocolate centers, perfect for every chocolate lover.


Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups chocolate chips (a mix of semisweet and dark)
  • 14 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted and slightly cooled)
  • Extra chocolate chips (optional)
  • Flaky sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  2. In another large bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  3. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, folding gently until just combined.
  4. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Scoop and shape the dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden around the edges but still soft in the center.
  8. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
