  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking for 3-4 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.
  3. Add the sliced chicken breast and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until browned and cooked through.
  4. Mix in the sliced mushrooms, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until tender.
  5. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and cook for 1 minute to thicken the sauce.
  6. Gradually pour in the chicken broth, stirring until the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
  7. Reduce heat to low and stir in the sour cream until fully combined. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
