Description

A quick and flavorful dish featuring tender steak pieces in a rich garlic butter sauce, paired with cheesy pasta twists.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 tbsp butter (softened)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste (approximately ½ tsp)
  • 12 oz pasta twists (rotini or cavatappi)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add the pasta twists. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually around 8-10 minutes. Drain the pasta thoroughly and set aside.
  2. Heat 3 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the bite-sized steak pieces generously with salt and pepper. Add the steak to the hot skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally until browned on all sides. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside to rest.
  3. In the same skillet with the steak juices, reduce the heat to medium and sauté the minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it. Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream and stir to combine.
  4. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and season with ½ teaspoon of Italian seasoning. Stir continuously until the sauce becomes smooth, thick, and creamy.
  5. Return the cooked pasta and steak bites to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss everything together so that the pasta and steak are evenly coated with the creamy sauce.
  6. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella over the top of the combined ingredients. Allow the mozzarella to melt slightly by covering the skillet or leaving it on low heat for a minute or two before serving.
