Description

A quick and easy weeknight meal featuring tender chicken pieces in a delicious sesame sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Cooked rice or noodles (for serving)
  • Green onions, optional (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Whisk together the soy sauce, honey or maple syrup, garlic, and ginger in a small bowl.
  4. Pour the sauce over the chicken and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring to coat evenly.
  5. Serve the sesame chicken over cooked rice or noodles and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, if desired.

Notes

For thicker sauce, let it simmer longer after adding to the chicken. Feel free to add vegetables like broccoli or bell peppers.
