Description

Beat the heat with a refreshing Mango Strawberry Sorbet, combining tropical sweetness with juicy strawberries, perfect for warm days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced (about 2 cups)
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruits: Start by peeling and dicing the mangoes into small chunks. Hull and slice the strawberries so they are ready for blending.
  2. Blend: In a blender or food processor, combine the diced mangoes, sliced strawberries, sugar, water, and fresh lime juice if you choose to use it. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Taste and adjust: Taste the mixture and decide if you’d like to add more sugar or lime juice. Blend again briefly to mix in any adjustments.
  4. Freeze: Pour the fruit mixture into a shallow, freezer-safe dish. Cover it tightly and freeze for about 240 to 360 minutes, or until it’s solid. For the best texture, stir the sorbet every couple of hours to break up ice crystals.

Notes

Store any leftover sorbet in an airtight container. Consume within a couple of weeks for the best texture.
