Description

Healthy and fluffy red lentil bread rolls that are easy to make and packed with protein.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup red lentils
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups gluten-free flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Water as needed

Instructions

  1. Rinse the red lentils and place them in a pot with 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 15-20 minutes until the lentils are soft. Drain any excess water and let them cool slightly.
  2. Combine the cooked lentils, gluten-free flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and olive oil in a mixing bowl. Mix until a dough forms, adding water as needed to achieve the desired consistency.
  3. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Divide the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve with homemade soup or a favorite dipping sauce. Brush with butter for extra flavor.
