Description

A quick and easy dish that combines savory flavors and comforting noodles, perfect for any night of the week.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the Sauce: In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red chili flakes (if using) until well combined. This will be your tasty sauce.
  2. Prepare the Chicken: Coat the chicken pieces with cornstarch by tossing them in a bowl. This step ensures that your chicken will turn crispy and sticky when cooked.
  3. Cook the Chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the coated chicken to the skillet. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally until the chicken is golden and fully cooked.
  4. Add the Sauce: Pour the prepared sauce over the cooked chicken and stir to coat all the pieces. Let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce is thick and sticky.
  5. Cook the Noodles: While the chicken cooks, prepare the noodles according to the package instructions until they are tender. Drain them and set aside.
  6. Combine Everything: Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with the chicken. Toss well to ensure the sauce and chicken are evenly distributed.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Finish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds (if using) before serving hot for an added burst of flavor.

Notes

You can add vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas for added crunch and nutrition. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
