Ingredients
Scale
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat to create a rich base for your sauce.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Slowly pour in the heavy cream while continuously stirring. Keep the heat low to avoid boiling.
- Add the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
- If desired, add Italian seasoning and adjust seasoning to taste.
- Allow the sauce to cool before spreading it on your pizza dough.
Notes
Store leftover sauce in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat gently on the stove.
