- 8 oz lo mein noodles
- 1/2 lb steak, sliced
- 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, carrots, broccoli)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 green onions, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- In a large pan or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the steak slices and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, roughly 2-3 minutes.
- Toss in the mixed vegetables and garlic, sautéing until the vegetables are tender, about 2-3 minutes.
- Combine the cooked noodles with the meat and vegetables in the pan.
- Stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil, mixing well.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with green onions before serving.
Notes
Slice the steak against the grain for tenderness. Don’t overcook the shrimp to prevent rubberiness.
